Irish Whiskey has undergone a major renaissance over the last 20 years and many pubs have become craft beer havens as the craft beer boom has taken root in Ireland. We have a number of options for groups to enjoy these parts of Irish culture while also learning about the long standing tradition of hospitality in Ireland dating back to at least Gaelic times.

This tour interweaves the history and culture of the Irish Pub tracing its development with visits to a small selection of Galway Pubs. In one of these we will sample a Whiskey tasting platter and in another historic pub we will sample some local beers. Our tour guide will guide you around Galway City to explore some of the sights associated with Whiskey in Galway. You will trace the history of some of the well known brands in Galway such as Persses.

At the end of the tour relax as we taste some of the finest Irish Whiskies in different Galway establishments.

• Pub Culture & Historic Pub Trail

Our guide will lead your group around some of the most iconic and historic pubs in Galway City. Learn the history of how Guinness was distributed and bottled in pubs throughout Ireland. Learn how a a culture of hospitality is central to both the Pub and Irish history.

These tours are ideal for adding a guest speaker or a private traditional Irish music performance.

Beer tasting costs approximately €10 per person for a 3/4 selection tasting glasses.

Musicians can be added for approximately €40 -  €200 for two musicians
